Beam Acceleration

CBB aims to accelerate particle beams using new green technology.

Beams are accelerated using hollow structures (cavities) that sustain high electric fields. By employing new superconducting materials in these cavities we can open new opportunities  for using high powered particle beams and scientific facilities. that allow researchers to operate cavities at much higher temperatures. High-efficiency cavities using CBB’s next-generation surfaces will help overcome the cost barrier of future large-scale accelerators for scientific research.

CBB targets specific Beam Acceleration Objectives and Deliverables.
